Paralegal Clerk Trainee - Litigation
In this full-time position as a paralegal clerk trainee, you will assist with trial prep related to real estate valuation by assembling exhibits and trial notebook for an early February hearing and mediation, and possibly later trial. You will work with a team and a solo attorney in UT West Campus.
If you have an interest, additional training may include commercial real estate acquisition, due diligence, and management, as well as business entity formation (corporations, LLCs, etc.).
Pay
Starting at $16 an hour. More possibly DOE.
Requirements
- 30 hours per week minimum
- Good academics, or relevant experience (e.g., law, pre-law, real estate, paralegal)
- Writing skills (you may attach a sample of your writing to your application)
- Willingness to support a fragrance-free office
- (Lead attorney and others on staff get migraine symptoms from many fragranced products.
- (We provide free unscented laundry and personal products that many staffers say are the best they've ever used.)
- Start quickly: immediately or within two weeks
- Valuable but not required: experience with trial prep, real estate valuation, Google Earth, or a graphic design program like SketchUp
