Paralegal Clerk Trainee - Commercial Real Estate

Description

This position is for a part-time paralegal clerk through the spring and possibly longer for a solo practice in West Campus that is closely associated with Lawyer’s Aid Service. Duties include:

  • Prepare for and support a condemnation trial (exhibits, trial book)
  • Support commercial-real-estate offers, due diligence, purchases, leasing
  • Assist in related negotiations
  • Better organize large case files and retrieve documents
  • Research and draft memoranda, letters, emails, and documentation
  • Other duties as they come up

Pay---------------------------
$16 an hour (part-time, DOE if full-time)

Required---------------------------
• Minimum 18 hours a week at least through the spring
• Strong academics
• Writing skill
• Willingness to get fragrance free, because lead attorney gets migraine symptoms from most fragrance products, so we coach you and give you free personal products

Valuable but not required--------------------------
• Experience in the area
• System administration (Mac) or IT experience
• Start immediately or within one week
• Availability beyond May 2019
